Islanders4Arts Launches with a BANG!

The new arts and cultural organization, Islanders4Arts, announces the official launch date of the new website, www.Islanders4Arts.com , set for June 20, 2010.

The website features an arts and cultural business directory and an electronic cultural calendar.  The Board of Directors envisions this website to be a useful tool in viral marketing efforts – with the end result of increased business for members and uplifting the local economy.   Additionally, the website is a great arts & entertainment resource for residents and visitors.  Membership is FREE; anyone who participates in arts and culture on Bainbridge is invited to register themselves or their business at www.Islanders4Arts.com.  The website, and maintenance, has been 100% funded and maintained by volunteers.  “It’s a lot of work, but very rewarding,” says Elizabeth Gadbois, Vice President.  “My biggest incentive is when someone stops me at the market and tells me that they are getting work from our marketing efforts.”  The website and logo were designed by Jennergy, Inc, with development by Interlock Solutions.

To celebrate the official launch of the website, the Board of Directors are hosting a FREE CONCERT at Waterfront Park on the 4th of July!  Music will begin at 7:00 pm, featuring island favorites “Handful of Luvin.”  Handful of Luvin has just released a new CD, “Life in Between.”  The band has local ties – Andrew Joselyn (Chris Kattan’s brother) grew up on Bainbridge.  Bring your blankets and beach balls.  Snacks – including ice cream & strawberry shortcake will be available for sale at the Park, and fireworks hosted by Bainbridge Island Yacht Club begin at 10:00 ish (fireworks pending funding confirmation)

For more information, visit www.Islanders4Arts.com, or contact Elizabeth Gadbois, (206) 819-3618.
